Rebuilt 1881, Steinway & Sons Model D concert grand piano with a burr walnut case, filigree music desk and fluted, barrel legs. The music desk is an arabesque cut-out design with a central lyre motif. The piano legs are fluted, barrels with a carved, stylised sunflower on the pediment. This design is mimicked in the turned, fluted spindles of the three-pedal piano lyre. The serpentine piano cheek features double linear mouldings ending in carved, curlicues. Piano has an eighty-five note keyboard and a three-pedal lyre. This beautiful instrument is the preferred choice of the world's greatest pianists.
